Dan Levenson in concert

Elation Center for the Arts presents a concert entitled “An Evening with Dan Levenson,” 7 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at the Pagosa Lakes Clubhouse.

Dan Levenson is an accomplished and dynamic fiddler who can fiddle and clog dance at the same time, a real treat to see! Levenson’s stage show combines old-time fiddle with 5-string banjo and guitar, singing songs and telling stories about his Southern Appalachian roots.

A modern day troubadour in the truest sense of the word, Levenson performs throughout the U.S. and internationally.

Levenson’s home base is southern Ohio where he and his wife are lovingly restoring a farmhouse built in the late 1800s and nestled in the Appalachian hills. He spends half the year performing concerts and conducting music workshops; the other half he spends authoring instructional publications on the 5-string banjo.

Advance tickets for $12 are available online at elationarts.org, at the Higher Grounds Coffee Company and at the Adam Hurt concert on Monday. Tickets at the door are $15. Young people 18 and under will be admitted free of charge.
