The Pagosa Springs High School cast of “West Side Story,” by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim, is rehearsing all of the singing, dancing and acting required for this classic Broadway show, currently being revived in NYC.
There is a cast of more than 40 performers, a full orchestra comprised of students and community members, a talented technical crew, a wonderful script and score, and a huge dance show.
“West Side Story” is known for its spectacular dance numbers, and this production is no exception. With the ongoing support of the Music Boosters organization and its mentoring programs, including the sharing of sets, props and costumes, this year’s musical remains a collaborative and learning experience for all.
“West Side Story” opens April 14, and also plays April 16, 17 and 18 at 7 p.m.
Tickets will go on sale April 1.
Come out and support our young actors and musicians and the performing arts in Pagosa Springs.
