Move underway to save Pinon Lake fountain

The fountain in Pinon Lake, long a striking visual impact on the west side of Pagosa Springs, was out of commission for a number of years. The town of Pagosa Springs, to enhance the visual beauty of the area, installed a new fountain. The town paid for the installation and cost of its operation.

Late last summer, the fountain was operated sporadically and with shortened hours of operation. Due to the current financial climate, the town can no longer provide all of the funding for this project.

Operational funds of $3,600-$4,000 are needed to ensure the fountain’s functioning this summer. Our goal is to raise that amount and hopefully enough for a second year.

Help us preserve this traditional landmark.
