St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, located at 225 S. Pagosa Blvd., cordially invites the community to celebrate Shrove Tuesday (the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday).
Stop by and enjoy the traditional Pancake Supper at the Parish Hall Tuesday Feb. 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. The Men’s Fellowship cooks up a delicious supper complete with pancakes, sausage, juice, coffee and a festive dessert. A family donation of $10, or $5 for an adult and $3 for a child, would be appreciated.
Typically, pancakes are associated with the day before Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of Lent where fasting begins. One would use up sugar, milk and eggs in preparation of the fast for 40 days. “Fat Tuesday” is another name for the day before Ash Wednesday.
All are welcome to come and enjoy this celebration.
If you have questions, contact the church office at 731-5801.
