Region 9 Economic Development District has received 2009 marketing funds from the Colorado Office of Economic Development and Economic Development Commission.

A portion of these funds is distributed to community groups as match to promote regional events. Priority is given to events that promote agriculture. Previous recipients include: the Mesa Verde Wine Festival, Ute Mountain Ute Rodeo, Durango Independent Film Festival and Durango Farmer’s Market.

Organizations interested in receiving $500 to $1,500 in marketing matching funds should send a letter outlining their event and how the funding will be used. A budget that itemizes expected marketing expenses must be included.
