SHY RABBIT announces ‘Interim’ exhibition

SHY RABBIT Contemporary Arts announces the opening of “Interim”, currently on display through Saturday, March 7.

SHY RABBIT gallery hours are Thursday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., or by appointment.

“Interim” features a selection of finely-crafted works by eight SHY RABBIT emerging, established, or nationally-recognized gallery artists. This notable group exhibition includes sculptural and functional ceramics, aquatint etchings, beautifully hued abstract paintings, sophisticated black and white silver prints, creative mixed media works, and elegant monoprints.

Featured artists are: Randy Au, California; D. Michael Coffee, Colorado; Patrick Shia Crabb, California; Ron Fundingsland, Colorado; Karl Isberg, Colorado; Shaun Martin, Colorado; Al Olson, Colorado; and Brad Schwieger, Ohio.

SHY RABBIT’s 2009 exhibition schedule will continue with “Portraits”, March 14–April 18. An artists’ reception will be held Saturday, March 14, from 5-8 p.m.

This eclectic invitational portraiture exhibition will feature “From the Photo”, a special project by Karl Isberg and Ivy King, Colorado. “Portraits” will also feature a wide range of unique works in varying media by: D. Michael Coffee, Colorado; Sarah Comerford, Colorado; Mike Frick, Arizona; Shaun Martin, Colorado; and Maureen May, Colorado.

SHY RABBIT Contemporary Arts is located at 333 Bastille Drive, two blocks north of U.S.160, off of North Pagosa Boulevard  The 4,000 square-foot arts facility houses a ceramic studio and fine art gallery, two mixed-media workshops, and two large exhibition spaces.
