Fight cancer with flowers

Since 1973, Daffodil Days has empowered people — everyone from school children to corporate CEOs — to make a difference in the fight against cancer by raising funds and awareness to help beat the disease.

To that end, The American Cancer Society seeks volunteers who want to make a difference in our community, by gathering orders for daffodils during January and February, and then delivering these beautiful flowers in March.

The proceeds will be used for transportation and assistance to those undergoing treatments. Last year, 270 of 310 newly diagnosed cases of cancer were treated locally. To participate, call Linda Lovendahl at 970-247-0278 option 3, extension 17, or e-mail linda.lovendahl@cancer.org.
