Beginners and those with no experience are encouraged to take this class. Those with clay experience will benefit from learning and practicing unique techniques developed over the course of more than 15 years by workshop instructor, D. Michael Coffee.

This workshop will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 31 and Feb. 1. The workshop fee is $215, and includes all materials, glazes, firings, and a tool kit that participants may keep for future use.

Printmaking without a Press I is a two-day introductory workshop utilizing a unique hand-pressed printing process called “Reductive Ink”™, designed and developed by professional artist, D. Michael Coffee.

This workshop is high in content and uses inexpensive, low-tech materials that can be easily used in a home studio environment. It is designed for those with or without printmaking experience, and for those that simply want to explore and expand upon their creativity.

Ceramics from the Potter’s Wheel I is a five-week introductory course designed for novice and experienced potters alike. Participants will learn the concepts of wedging, centering, opening, pulling and shaping forms, trimming and finishing, and glazing.

Classes will run on Wednesday evenings, 5:30-7:30 p.m. A newly added session will run five consecutive weeks, beginning March 4 through April 1. A separate glazing session is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 10 a.m-1 p.m. There is only one space remaining for this session.

The workshop fee is $275, and includes all materials, glazes, firings, and a tool kit that participants may keep for future use. Open studio time is also included in the course fee to encourage participants to practice on the wheel in between sessions.
