Centerpoint Church (formerly First Baptist Church) of Pagosa Springs will host the sixth annual Thanksgiving Celebration Dinner for the community on Sunday, Nov. 23, at 5 p.m.
Each year, the church invites those who will not have the opportunity to celebrate the Thanksgiving season with family members, those who are in assisted living homes, and those who may not be able to provide a meal on Thanksgiving Day to this special evening of a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal, entertainment and fellowship. The event is offered free of charge.
A traditional turkey with trimmings meal is prepared and served by church members, and guests are seated and served at decorated holiday tables, sharing in the good food and fellowship offered by their hosts.
Live music and video presentations will provide entertainment based on the seasonal theme. A nursery is provided for children under 3, and older children are invited to join their parents at the table for the holiday meal.
Transportation is available upon request. The meal is provided free of charge, but reservations are requested in order to prepare adequate amounts of food.
Anyone wanting to participate in the evening’s activities is invited to call the church at 731-2205 to make reservations and to arrange for transportation.
Centerpoint Church is located in Aspen Village at 2750 Cornerstone Drive in Pagosa Springs.
