The Pagosa Springs Rotary Club would like to express our grateful appreciation for all those who made The Rotary Chuck Dorman Memorial Golf Tournament the success it was.
It takes a village to put on a golf tournament! The countless people it takes to prepare and marshal the course, place the donor signs, complete registrations, and just see that everyone has a great day is monumental.
Our special thanks goes to the Pagosa Springs Golf Course for allowing this event to take place, all the golfers who financially supported this worthy cause and of course the hole sponsors who generously gave to an organization whose mission is “Service Above Self.”
The next time you see a local Rotarian or one of the following contributors, be sure to thank them for all the scholarships that will be given to the 2009 graduating class at Pagosa Springs High School: Affordable Kitchens, American Family Insurance, Appraisal Services, Avjet Corporation, Back Country Horsemen, Bank of Colorado, Bank of the San Juans, Barry Wheeless Consulting, Big O Tires, Bill and Barney Storm, Bob and Janis Moomaw, Citizens Bank, Colorado Land Title, Cowboy Carpet, DeClark Granite and Fabrication, Ears 2 You, Elk Meadows Campground, First Southwest Bank, Goodman’s Department Store, Hart Construction, High Country Title, Jack and Katy Threet, Jann Pitcher Real Estate, JoAnn Laird/Galles Properties, John and Carrie Weiss, KWUF, Navajo Trails Center, Old West Press, PAWSD, Pagosa Insurance Agency, Pagosa Liquors, Pagosa Springs Office Supply, Paint Connection, Piedra Automotive, Proline Supply, Radio Shack of Pagosa Springs, Rio Grande Savings and Loan, Scott Strategic Investments and Sunetha Management.

Not only were we blessed with the perfect autumn day, the Oct. 19 National Rescue Ride-a-Thon was an overwhelming success. This event enabled LASSO to continue care of many unwanted, neglected and abused horses in our community.
Special thanks to Ed and Barbara Simpson for allowing riders to enjoy their beautiful ranch, as well as Star Ridge Ranch; Back County Horsemen, thank you for your participation and involvement in LASSO. Many thanks to our members, sponsors and the wonderful dedicated volunteers who validate the need for this organization in our community. Happy trails.
We would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to Jeff Laydon for donating his time and expertise to photograph members of our EMT Association. His fun and processional attitude was truly appreciated and all the pictures are superb. It was wonderful that we were able to have them available at our fund-raiser for everyone to view. Thanks, Jeff.
