Carlos Trujillo, 77, died Friday, Oct. 10, as a result of an auto accident. Mr. Trujillo was born in Edith, Colo., July 3, 1931, to Tobias Trujillo and Rose Romero Trujillo, who are deceased. He was a veteran of the Army Air Force. He worked as district manager for V.A. Poma.
He is survived by his wife, Clorinda Gallegos Trujillo, who he married May 3, 1959; daughter, Jacki Trujillo Hart, of Pagosa Springs; and son, John Paul Trujillo, of Pagosa Springs. He is survived by his grandchildren Davidlee Trujillo, Treanna Trujillo and Daymien Trujillo. He is also survived by brothers Mel Trujillo, Joe Garcia, Fernando Trujillo and Armando Trujillo; and sisters Nea Branson, Mary Bradley, Priscilla Gallegos, Lucilla Hoover and Becky Everage; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by son Francisco (Frankie) Toby Trujillo. He was preceded also by brothers Herman Trujillo, Ross Trujillo and Fanio Trujillo; and sister Edna Gallegos.
A private viewing by the family was held Wednesday at La Quey Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at 6 p.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Pagosa Springs. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Pagosa Springs High School, with Father Carlos Alvarez as the celebrant. Burial and military honors will follow services at Hilltop Cemetery in Pagosa Springs.
