Special to The PREVIEW
On Sunday, Jan. 27, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship service topic will be “Understanding Jungian Archetypal Energy and the Buddhist Concept of Karma,” presented by Debra Travis.
Travis explains that, “This talk will explore the relationship of Eastern and Western philosophical viewpoints about what gives rise to the variety of experiences we have in our lives.”
She adds, “We will look at the ways that we attract or create our own reality, even when it seems as if life happens to us with no input on our part.” The congregation will be an integral part of this exploration, as questions will be posed to the group for sharing and discussion.
Debra Travis is program director and resident teacher at the Tara Mandala Buddhist Retreat Center, and leads frequent meditations on Saturday mornings at the Pagosah UU Fellowship Hall.
The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall, and child care will be provided. The address is Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza. Turn east on Greenbriar Drive off of North Pagosa Boulevard by the fire station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign. All are welcome.
