‘Alchemy: The Art of Spiritual Transformation’ at UU Fellowship March 10

Special to The PREVIEW

On Sunday, March 10,  the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship service topic will be Deepak Chopra’s “Alchemy: The Art of Spiritual Transformation,” presented by Ilene Haykus.

She points out that, “Deepak Chopra has been at the forefront of the human potential movement for many years.  In his video, produced in 1997, he interprets the classic story of King Arthur and the search for the Holy Grail as an archetypal metaphor for the evolution of human consciousness.”

In this service, Ilene will provide a brief overview of Chopra’s creative work, including a description of the seven stages of individual human evolution: innocence, separation/ego, achievement, altruism, questing, seeing/understanding and unification/oneness.

At 12:30 p.m. (following a break for lunch after the service), Chopra’s video “The Art of Spiritual Transformation” will be shown, followed by a discussion.

For the months of March and April, the children will be exploring the Seventh Unitarian Principle, honoring the Earth: “Respect for the interdependent web of all existence, of which we are a part.”  Earth Day is April 22.

The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall, and child care will be provided.  The address is Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza.  Turn east on Greenbriar Drive off of North Pagosa Boulevard by the Fire Station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign.  All are welcome!
