ACSO, inmate information

In light of the flooding at the Archuleta County Courthouse, the movement of inmates to La Plata County and the temporary closure of the Archuleta County Sheriff’s Office, following is contact and other information regarding the ACSO and inmates.

Archuleta County Sheriff Rich Valdez said Wednesday the ACSO administrative office would be closed until a temporary office location could be secured, however some functions (concealed carry permits, CDLs and VIN inspections) will still take place, albeit potentially with “a little lag time.”

    Sad situation when the sheriff’s department does not have their own jail and such fine officer’s deserve a new place. Use to be on Clear creek many years ago and we had huge jail few officer’s but big jail land nice office’s and less rich people up there for taxes. Gary
