A lie

Dear Editor:

Obama and his incompetent ideological bozos are causing people to lose faith in their country, and there isn’t an opposing force insisting, “No! This is a great country, and you can make it better. You still have unparalleled opportunity. You can still write your ticket in America.” There isn’t an opposition political leader saying it. So as people lose faith in the country, there’s nobody to steady them, inspire them. No one is telling them otherwise.

The truth is, there isn’t anything wrong with America as founded. America as founded is a miracle, a bastion of hope for ordinary people to fulfill their destiny. What is wrong is what’s being done to America by virtue of liberalism. Wherever there are liberals, there’s nothing but fatalism and failure. Witness Utopian Detroit: The result of fifty-plus years of Liberal Democrat governance. There’s nothing but pain and suffering and lost opportunity — and then the government swoops in with promises to take care of you, because there isn’t any hope for you.

Frankly, it’s the Alinsky objective. The radical leftist mission is to provoke more and more people to lose faith in individual liberty and freedom, lose faith in capitalism and prosperity. The Alinsky liberal belief system is rooted in contempt for average people, the assumption that they can’t do anything on their own.

It’s a lie. The American conviction that an ordinary person can accomplish the extraordinary is what launches dreams.

Let’s face it, folks, this optimistic can-do message that has been in our nations very fabric from the beginning has been missing for four and a half years. A lot of people can’t put their finger on what is wrong, but they know something is. There is this sweeping unease — I call it a “malaise” or “depression,” but a more accurate word to describe this is”nothingness.” It’s shrouding the ambitions of millions upon millions of Americans whose vision right now is clouded and who consider self-betterment as utterly beyond their grasp. This is a crying shame, and should never happen in the United States of America.

Fatalists and doomsayers are poisoning the minds of young people, the very Americans who will determine what kind of country we will be. Pessimism is being taught, it’s being ingrained in people during the formative years of their education. This country is being lied about. Young people are being told falsehoods about the absolutely wonderful God-given opportunity to live in this country and be an American.

There’s every reason in the world to be optimistic, as Americans. There’s every reason in the world not to fall prey to what the left wants: for you to give up, surrender, set aside your God-given initiative, ambition, and energy, and drive. Never do it. Never!

The truth is, the country’s miraculous strengths remain, and will again be unleashed, once we broom the thugs who are running it right now. The minute that happens, the fog will lift, and it will be morning in America once again. The country is not the government. We are far greater than that! America is the strength and talent and dreams of her people — and God.
