A cancer

Dear Editor:

It is a bizarre thing to watch this government at “work.” This pathetic “shutdown” is such a farce. For example, can you imagine a government that takes months to get anything at all done, and yet, it comes up with thousands of brand new signs telling the owners of the national park system (that would be We, the People) that the area is closed, and do so in a manner of hours from the alleged “shut down?” Not old, used signs, but new signs. How could they do this unless this whole facade was planned months ago, and is simply the government thumbing its nose at the American public, at great cost. Closing our lands and property, costing more than it costs to leave them open, is unconscionable, and a pathetic display of typical Obama administration tantrums. The treasonous government employees and “law” enforcement (agenda enforcement by force, outside of law and authority) officers who follow this idiocy are equally to blame. This is, happily, waking up many more Americans to the sad truth of the cancer we have eating at our freedom and constitutional fabric. Anyone who cannot see this truth will be one of the worst hurt followers of an insane agenda taking many Americans to the cleaners, and likely, the morgue. Freedom is not free, but a vast majority of Americans are using freedom, free of charge, and not paying their “fair share” for support of our freedom and rights. Instead, many are asleep, lukewarm in their attitudes, and accepting something for nothing. If we are not regularly working to pay something toward freedom, where reasonably possible, then we have become part of the problem. We cannot possibly sustain “free” freedom and rights without “eternal vigilance.” Past support is great, but that does not support our present freedoms today. Christ spoke about such a “lukewarm” attitude where people believed they were “rich and increased with goods, and have need of nothing,” but He told them plainly they were “wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked.” This was in reference to a spiritual attitude, but the same “spirit” of lethargy and apathy, and believing things are “acceptable,” prevails across America, and is about to allow us to be crushed by the beast we have allowed off its constitutional chains. I used to believe that people would rally to defend against these obvious threats, and take a firm stand, and support every lawful and authorized means to restore our Republic, but I’m believing, now, that it is inevitable that a catastrophic event, or two, comes to wake people from their blindness, and to restore freedom among those who survive financially or physically. So few Americans realize how serious things are, and fewer yet are doing anything about it on a regular basis. Many hands supporting freedom make light work for all of us. It is absolutely impossible for a handful of Americans across this Republic to pay for freedom for 317 million Americans. Will we collectively wake up in time?

um… the gov’t shutdown was a pathetic display of REPUBLICAN tantrums, not obama’s. you have obviously spun the facts to fit your ideology. are you aware that the republicans voted and failed FORTY times to repeal obamacare AFTER it was passed and LOST in the supreme court as well. yet they still can’t accept defeat and so they shut down the government. do NOT attempt to place the blame on obama. the apocalyptic rhetoric is really ridiculous.
