Community invited to attend free homecoming alumni barbecue

Special to The SUN
This is a special invitation for all community members to attend the annual homecoming alumni barbecue.
Hosted by the National Honor Society, this event is set to take place on Friday, Oct. 4, starting at 6 p.m.
A classic barbecue dinner will be served: burgers, chips and drinks, all at no expense.
Attendance at the Pagosa Springs High School (PSHS) homecoming football game is encouraged, with the crowning of homecoming court during halftime.
Homecoming is a week-long event carefully planned and filled with spirit week activities, powderpuff football and ironman volleyball games, a pep rally, the homecoming football game and the grand finale homecoming dance this weekend.
Homecoming is a tradition for everyone to celebrate the new school year. Students at PSHS are eagerly anticipating the Cloud 9 dance theme, filled with whimsical clouds, sunset colors, music and, surely, a night for the books.
A free barbecue and a football game is a fantastic way to spend your Friday night, actively participate in homecoming festivities or reminisce about past high school memories. Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you there.
