Saving our wilderness trails

Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures. I feel that we are in just such a time as it relates to our wilderness here locally and throughout Colorado. The beetle kill that we have experienced has led to massive tree death and subsequent unprecedented number of downed trees that clog our trails. About 9,500 trees are falling each year and less than half are cleared annually, this leads to a backlog of downed trees between 7,300 and 16,800.
