Keep chain saws out of wilderness

Dear Editor:
My love of southwestern Colorado is based in its mountains – the craggy peaks, wildflower valleys, and alpine stillness that define the Colorado high country. I head to the mountains to hear the chatter of birdsong, the whisper of wind through aspen leaves, the bugle of an elk in the fall. The last sound I hope to hear in wilderness is the rumble of chainsaws, growling as they cut into native spruce trees.
