On March 12, Richard Franklin Young passed away. Rich was a father, son, brother, uncle, friend, patriot, Navy vet, husband, musician, farmer, biker, horseman, animal lover, gun slinger, welder, heavy machine operator and mentor to many colleagues throughout his life, especially at Wolf Creek Ski Area. He had a way of simplifying anything into three words or less, reminding those who were close to him that life is not as complex as we can make it.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 25, at noon at 11974 S. CR 4 E., La Jara, CO 81140. A BBQ, military funeral honors and remembrance of Richard’s life will be held at the Riddick’s farm — the place where he was preparing to spend his retirement. All are welcome to come celebrate the life of a truly honorable man.
