Special to The PREVIEW
Dan and Venita Burch, in partnership with Curtains Up Pagosa (CUP) and students of the performing arts, are excited to announce the “We’ll Be Home For Christmas” concert to be held this Saturday, Dec. 22, in the Pagosa Springs High School (PSHS) auditorium at 6 p.m.
The concert is a brainchild of Venita Burch, who wanted to bring together performing arts alumnae in Pagosa for a benefit concert with funds raised to go toward vocal scholarships for students.
We have gathered seven of Pagosa’s finest PSHS graduates who over the years have spent hundreds and hundreds of hours performing on stage in shows, productions, concerts and other events. They are not only local high school graduates, but graduates of high school musicals, one-act plays, one-act competitions and CUP productions. They are talented veteran performers of the highest caliber who are performing and giving back to their school and community so that other students can receive the gifts of vocal lessons and music.
Performing on Saturday evening will be Gustavo Palma, Kaitlen Smith, Hayley Mitchell, Robert Neel, Crissy Ferguson, Brooke Hampton and Max Miller. The program will include favorite Broadway show tunes plus songs of the season.
Tickets will be available at the door: $10 for adults and $5 for children 5-10. All proceeds will be held and distributed as voice scholarships for select students.
Take some time to enjoy a delightful concert with our extraordinary former students and help us pay it forward to new generations of students of the performing arts.
