International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day event set for Nov. 17 in Durango

Special to The PREVIEW
You are not alone. Join a community of suicide loss survivors to find comfort and gain understanding as we share stories of healing and hope on Saturday, Nov. 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day is the one day a year when people who are affected by suicide loss gather around the world at events in their local communities for support and resources.
The event features a screening of “A Daughter’s Journey,” a documentary that follows Sarah, a young adult, through her story of milestones, family, coping and positive growth after the loss of her father. This year’s film shares hope, connection and resilience in the aftermath of a suicide loss.
The event will be held in the Fort Lewis College Noble Hall, Room 130 in Durango.
You can contact Amie Bryant at 946-8004 or arbryant@fortlewis.edu with any questions or visit https://afsp.org/survivor_day/durango-colorado-2 .
This event is sponsored by Fort Lewis College Counseling Center.
