Music is a magnificent tool for personal and societal well-being.

Whether occurring in an individual setting, a community setting or a therapeutic setting, music can lift the spirits, stimulate imagination and inspiration, unlock creative potential, engage states of flow and activate multiple areas of the brain in ways that help balance the body, mind and spirit.

Research has found that playing music helps our brains more than any other activity. By helping us make new connections between different regions of the brain, music helps us become more creative in other areas of our lives.

Many people feel that they have no or very limited musical ability. However, music is something that we all have inside of us. All it takes in order to set our music free is finding the right key to unlock its unfoldment.

Keeping the beat on a hand drum is an easy way to plunge into the art of music-making. Swimming in the rhythmic pulse of a community drumming circle can really get the creative juices flowing.
