He was a longtime Pagosa resident and had moved to Oklahoma around 12 years ago.

He was born on Saturday, June 28, 1947, to Garrett Monroe Sr. and Betty Jo (Dennis) Roberts, in Choctaw County, Okla. He attended school in Soper, Okla., and graduated from Kermit High School in Texas. Garry had been a maintenance worker in the mines. He was also a mechanic who could fix just about anything and loved riding his motorcycle, but, most of all, he was an artist who loved to create and build. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, making black powder rifles, knives, recurve bows and dog sleds, just to name a few.

Garry is survived by his cousins: Jerry Dennis, of Soper Okla.; Diane Dancer and husband James, of Boswell, Okla.; Eddie Holzman and wife Edwina, of Calera, Okla.; stepdaughter Misty Langley, of Perkins, Okla.; ex-wife Darla Langley, of Atoka, Okla.; along with many dear and loved friends in Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas.

Garry is preceded in death by his parents, Garrett and Betty Jo (Dennis) Roberts.
