Cynthia ‘Cyndie’ Redford Smith

http://www.pagosasun.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/obit-cyndi-smith-002_2-271x300.jpgCynthia “Cyndie” Redford Smith passed away on May 6. She was born Aug. 30, 1963, to William “Willie” and Susanna Redford, of Tyler, Texas.

Cyndie graduated from Robert E. Lee High School-Tyler, Texas, in 1981. She attended the University of Texas-Arlington, where she was an active member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in radio and advertising. She met and married the love of her life, Ken Smith, in Pagosa Springs, Colo. They shared nine years together and a passion of travel and adventure. Cyndie had a fondness for horses and admired and loved to drive fast cars. She was loving grandmother and had a very special relationship with her granddaughters.

Cyndie is preceded in death by her mother, Susanna Weatherford Redford.

She is survived by husband Kenneth D. Smith; stepson Tracy Smith and wife Charmain; granddaughters LaShae and Sierra Smith; father William Redford; brother Charles Lee Redford and wife Donita; aunt Gena Margaret Weatherford; uncle James Jackson Weatherford and wife Cherrie; nephews and niece; and their children: John Bennett Redford and wife Holly; Zachary Charles Redford and wife Mandy; and Amy Whittington, Kegan Redford, Harper Rae Redford, Payton Riley Redford and Caitlyn Burns.

A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church in Pagosa Springs at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 11, under the direction of Hood Mortuary. Pastor Debra Huffman will officiate.
