Special to The PREVIEW

Seeds of Learning is delighted to announce our eight courageous, enthusiastic dancers who are bringing the “star” quality to Dancing with the Pagosa Stars on July 14.

Our beautiful female stars are Cindy Houston, Fran Lohr, Lisa Miranda and Tammy Searle. Our handsome male stars are Brad Ash, Bob Brobst, Brent Christians and Jacob Miskimens.

These incredibly generous people have agreed to be paired with a professional dancer, learn a dance routine choreographed just for them and perform for your votes on July 14 at this new fundraising event.

Today you can go to http://growingseeds.org/dwtps-stars/ to see bios of these competitive stars and vote for your favorites. Each $1 vote moves a star closer to winning the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy and bragging rights as the winner for a full year.

Tickets for this fun event will go on sale at 8 a.m. on Friday, May 4. Ticket price is $125 when paying with cash or check and $128.50 if paying with a credit card. Ticket prices include the dance competition, dinner, drink tickets and open audience dancing while winner votes are tallied.

To reserve Producer Tables (seating eight) or individual tickets, call Lisa Peters at (281) 650-0875 or Dee McPeek at 317-3224 beginning May 4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. No tickets will be available for purchase at Seeds of Learning. Tickets will be sold on a first-paid basis.

Because of their amazing contribution, Stars have received reserved tables to fill with friends, so remaining seats for sale are limited. We expect to sell out quickly, so call early on May 4 for your reservations.

Over the next few weeks, we will tell you more about these special people and why they have agreed to help Seeds. Each has a unique story and everyone associated with Seeds feels very lucky to have their support. Their commitment to raise critically needed funds to educate vulnerable at-risk preschool children is truly inspiring. When you see these folks around town, be sure to let them know how special they are. And, don’t forget to vote.
