Special to The PREVIEW

GriefShare meetings begin this Saturday, April 2, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Community United Methodist Church.

GriefShare is a non-denominational Christian-based study.

The purpose of the sessions is to help people who have experienced the loss of any family member (child, parent, spouse, close relative) or of a special friend.

The meetings will be held in the fellowship hall. All sessions are free and are open to the public. Free child care will be provided at the church.

Thirteen weekly meetings are scheduled. Each session is self-contained, so a person does not have to attend in sequence. A person may attend one or all of the meetings. Topics will vary, so there is no progression of subjects.

A onetime donation ($10-$15) is suggested to cover some costs, but scholarship funds are available.

Interested persons can call the church office at 731-5508 for further information. The church is located at 434 Lewis St. The Rev. Claus Rohlfs is pastor.
