Town, county discuss joint operation of parks and recreation programs

The Pagosa Springs Town Council and Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners joint work session at the Archuleta County administrative offices on Feb. 23 featured an exchange of ideas for greater cooperation in future operation and funding of local parks and public recreation programs.

The town currently has an active Parks and Recreation Department that operates several parks with facilities like ball fields for organized activities, and also sponsors recreation programs in the Ross Aragon Community Center and other venues.
