St. Patrick’s takes theology to the tavern

Are you one who claims a certain lack of enthusiasm when it comes to attending or affiliating with a church? Or, perhaps, you are a believer, but not a religious believer who maintains a certain curiosity and openness to the presence of God. Perhaps you enjoy a lively discussion about your beliefs, but shy away from institutions of religious faith. Or, perhaps, you attend church regularly and enjoy informal discussions about faith. A small group of friends, old and new, led by Fr. Doug Neel, rector of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, meets weekly to share ideas about God, faith, the church, historical beliefs, religious traditions, ethics and much more. The group has been meeting in various pubs around town, but has gradually outgrown its venues as more people join in the discussion.
