For over 30 years, Pagosa has hosted a spring 9Health Fair, and the 2016 fair is scheduled for April 30. However, the Pagosa 9Health Fair is currently without a medical director and, without a medical director in place by Dec. 31, the Pagosa 9Health Fair will be canceled.
This is a volunteer position with training and support provided and is not as daunting as it may sound. The potential medical director would volunteer approximately four to six hours a week in the month of April and attend approximately three meetings between February and April. The medical director’s primary objective is to organize and oversee the blood draw portion of the Pagosa 9Health Fair on April 30.
Anyone who is or has been a paramedic, EMT, RN, LPN, MD or DDS would meet the 9Health Fair qualifications. If licensing is not current, that can be addressed on a case-by-case basis within the 9Health Fair system.
