The Southwest Colorado Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Fort Lewis College is proud to announce that retiring director Joe Keck was awarded the Excellence and Innovation Award for the state of Colorado by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The award was presented by Frances Padilla, deputy director, SBA Colorado District Office, at a luncheon on Wednesday, May 6, at the Aurora Summit Conference and Event Center before an audience of 200.

Keck was nominated by Durango Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jack Llewellyn because, “Joe has done so much for the business community here. He possesses incredible knowledge and is well-deserving.”
