Kindergarten registration and screenings for the 2015-2016 school year are scheduled for the week of April 20-24 at Pagosa Springs Elementary School.
Upcoming kindergarteners must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 15 in order to be eligible for registration.
We will be making 30-minute individual appointments with parents to register their child and, at the same time, a staff member will be screening the child. Appointments can be made by calling the school office at 264-2229, extension zero.
Registration packets are available at the school office. Parents have the option of enrolling their child for half-day or full-day kindergarten. Half-day kindergarten is funded by the state of Colorado. There is a $60 per month tuition and payment contract for full-day kindergarten.
Parents who are planning to register their children will need to bring these items to their appointment: the child’s birth certificate showing a birth date on or before Sept. 15, 2010; immunization records; Social Security card; a registration packet from the elementary school; and $120 deposit in the form of cash, check or money order for full-day kindergarten. The deposit covers September’s and May’s tuition, although parents have the option to pay the full year’s tuition of $540.
