Geothermal Greenhouse Partnership receives $275,000 grant

The Geothermal Greenhouse Partnership, which for several years has worked towards a dream of building three geodesic domes in Centennial Park in downtown Pagosa Springs, may finally have enough money to begin construction this summer.

Town Manager Greg Schulte made the announcement at the end of last week’s special town council meeting, while at the same time a news release from Gov. John Hickenlooper and Kevin Patterson, interim executive director of the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA), announced $34,240,176 in competitive grants have recently been awarded to 40 projects throughout Colorado through the Energy and Mineral Impact Assistance Fund grant program.
