The Pagosa Area Geothermal Water and Power Authority (PAGWAPA) asked for, and received, a loan totaling $500,000 from both the Town of Pagosa Springs and Archuleta County during two separate meetings on Tuesday.
First, although no PAGWAPA representative showed up to present the item at its Tuesday afternoon meeting, the Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners voted by a 2-1 margin to provide a $250,000 loan to the authority.
