Special to The PREVIEW

The goal of the Computer Fix-It-Free Day is to provide free technical assistance to members of our community who would otherwise not be able to afford it.

Local computer technicians are donating their time. Used parts will be provided at no charge for the purpose of repair by the Humane Society and the volunteering computer technicians. If new parts are needed, they will be provided at a discount.

If you would like to donate parts and/or used computers, we gladly accept items that are less than 5 years old. Unfortunately, we cannot accept any computers running Windows XP. Please label the items “Fix-It-Free” and take them to the Humane Society Thrift Store prior to noon on Jan. 9.

Computer repairs are by appointment only on Jan. 10. To schedule an appointment and prove eligibility, please call The Training Advantage at 264-5627, ext. 1 or 4, or stop in at 527 San Juan St., Suite D (in the plaza across from the downtown Subway) before 4 p.m. on Jan. 9.
