Thingamajig Theatre Company’s 2014-2015 season kicks off with the multi-award winning playwright Enda Walsh’s “Misterman,” opening Oct. 10 at the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts.

“Misterman” features the voice work of Academy Award-winning actress Olympia Dukakis and critically acclaimed actor Craig MacArthur (“Red,” “A Steady Rain,” “Good People”) and is directed by Melissa Firlit (last season’s “Red”).

Producing Artistic Director Tim Moore remarked, “We’re very excited to bring Ms. Dukakis to this project alongside MacArthur and Firlit.” In addition, Thingamajig Theatre continues to produce regional premieres.

“It’s a testament to the quality of work our production team and its artists create that rights organizations and playwrights present their works for the first time or regionally here in Pagosa Springs,” adds Moore.

Other premieres at Thingamajig include “Office Space; The Musical,” “Hidden: Stories of the Dutch Resistance,” “Good People,” “A Steady Rain,” “Spamalot” and this season’s “Chaps! A Jingle Jangle Christmas” and “Cowboys Are My Weakness.”

The best way to catch all these great titles (and more) is by joining our family of theater patrons with Thingamajig’s season subscriptions. The 2014-2015 season subscription includes admission to “Misterman,” “Chaps! A Jingle Jangle Christmas,” “Lend Me a Tenor,” “Cowboys Are My Weakness” and “A Picasso.”

“This season patrons will see a lot of their favorite performers like Jamie Finkenthal (Lady of the Lake in ‘Spamalot,’ Fantine in ‘Les Miserables’), Perry Davis Harper (Jean Valjean in ‘Les Miserables’), Steven Sitzman (Leaf Coneybear in ‘Spelling Bee’), as well as some new faces like Missy Karle (currently performing the role of June Carter in Toronto’s ‘Ring of Fire’),” Moore added.
