John Lennon once said, “Life is what happens when you are busy making other plans.” Curtains Up Pagosa found this to be true this week when one of their singers for “A Night With the Phantom” had to cancel due to unforeseen medical issues. The four-person ensemble had scheduled a CUP fundraiser for Sept. 27 at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church.

“Unfortunately, this is not music we can easily assign to another singer on short notice,” says director Dale Johnson. “We are, of course, very disappointed that we must cancel this performance, but we promise to reschedule it for another date, most likely after Christmas. We have had a very positive response and great public anticipation for this event and want very much to bring this wonderful music to our community.”
