Senior center now serving Thursday meals

Prescription Drug Plan Open Enrollment is Oct. 15 to Dec. 7. This is your opportunity to continue with your current prescription drug plan or choose a new one. Call us at 264-0502 to schedule an appointment with a SHIP (State Health Insurance Assistance Program) counselor. Appointments are available on Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Menu

The Pagosa Springs Senior Center is introducing organic vegetables into its salad bar and menus.

Everyone is welcome to join. If you are a senior (60 years and older), for only a $4 suggested donation, you are eligible for a hot meal, drink and salad bar. All guests under 60 years will be charged $10 and meals for children 10 years and under are $5 each.

All meals include salad bar. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Thursday, Sept. 11 — Pork chops, snap peas, egg noodles, muffin and tropical fruit salad.

Friday, Sept. 12 — Salmon cakes, scalloped potatoes, asparagus and fruit.

Monday, Sept. 15 — Ham and cheese, vegetable, or spinach quiche and blueberry crisp.

Tuesday, Sept. 16 — Smothered stuffed peppers, potato/leek soup, Italian bread, chocolate chip cookie.

Wednesday, Sept. 17 — Chicken fried chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, gravy, broccoli/cauliflower, apple salad and muffin.

Thursday, Sept. 18 — Baked potato bar, assorted toppings, cream of broccoli soup and spinach/orange salad.

Reservations and cancellations are required. You can make a reservation at 264-2167 by 9 a.m. the morning of the day you would like to dine.

For your convenience, you can make your reservations in advance or have a standing reservation on days you know you will always attend. Please cancel if you cannot attend on your standing reservation days. This helps ensure that everyone with reservations receives a meal.
