Town, county power authority agreements now match

An intergovernmental agreement between the Town of Pagosa Springs and Archuleta County regarding the pair’s geothermal utility agreement is now congruous on both sides following a month during which neither entity was aware that the agreements did not match.

Specifically, the agreements differed in one section, which outlined the compensation of the board members of the Pagosa Area Geothermal Water and Power Authority (Authority). The town’s version of the agreement allowed for individuals to the appointed to the Authority board to be compensated for their role, while the county’s version did not allow for compensation beyond reimbursement for costs incurred on behalf of the Authority.
