Girls Circle volleyball program underway June 17

SUN Columnist

Girls Circle is a structured support group for girls ages 9-18 years, which integrates relational theory, resiliency practices and skills training in a specific format designed to increase positive connection, personal and collective strengths, and competence in girls.

The group aims to counteract social and interpersonal forces that impede girls’ growth and development by promoting an emotionally safe setting and structure within which girls can develop caring relationships and use authentic voices. Volleyball is incorporated as a method of fun, fitness and teamwork.

This program begins on June 17 and runs for eight weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please contact the Ross Aragon Community Center for more information and details, 264-4152.
