Candidates in contested primary races provide views

As of Monday, June 2, ballots were mailed to active, affiliated voters for the Archuleta County primary election.

However, only two county-level races are contested in the primary election: sheriff and commissioner (District 3) — with both appearing on the Republican ballot.

Therefore, Archuleta County’s Republicans can cast their votes regarding who will advance to the November general election ballot for a chance to represent Archuleta County in each office.

The SUN asked each of the candidates running opposed in the primary election to provide biographical information and answer three questions in advance of the primary.
