Concerns raised as primary election nears

With the primary election only weeks away and ballots expected to hit mailboxes next week, Archuleta County Clerk and Recorder June Madrid held a special meeting with staff members from the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office to discuss concerns held by individuals involved with the election.

Namely, the concerns surrounded Madrid being the mother of sheriff candidate Rich Valdez and still being involved with the election, and deceased individuals being taken off the voter registration lists.
