The League of Women Voters will host a PAWSD candidates’ forum on Tuesday, April 29, at 6 p.m. at the community center.

The forum will include those candidates running for the PAWSD Board of Directors. This forum is open and all candidates are invited to participate.

The League of Women Voters forum will begin with introductions, proceeding with several questions for each candidate compiled by league members. Following this, the floor will be open to questions direct from the audience in a town hall-style meeting.

The League of Women Voters was founded in 1920 to promote political responsibility through informed and active citizen participation in government. The League is a non-partisan organization that neither supports nor opposes any candidate or political party. The League does take positions on issues based on in-depth study and provides voters with that analysis. As such, the League enjoys a reputation in the community for providing voters with reliable, balanced information.

Local League membership is $15 and all citizens, regardless of gender, are encouraged to join and get involved. For more information on the LWV, visit our website at http://lwvac.org/league.html.
