Special to The SUN

The Taste of Pagosa Cookbook will highlight “Brunch and Breakfast” in their fourth installment in the cookbook series of recipe contests at their next fundraiser Friday, April 4, at the Quality Resort.

The contest is open to all and there is no fee to enter a recipe. Entries need to be booked by Friday, April 4, at noon. Please call Tari Woods to get complete details about your entry at 731-8877.

Plates, bowls and napkins are provided. Entry forms will be available and food may be delivered to the Quality Resort’s Ponderosa Room between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The event begins at 6 p.m. with a $20 admission. We will have five judges for this event, including a local celebrity. New for this and future contests will be “The People’s Choice Award,” so come and vote for your favorite food item. All judging is totally anonymous.

We are excited to have fully moved the temporary ice rink from Greeley. We are now looking for families and groups that would be interested in a summer roller hockey and skating program or instruction. This will lead up to the grand opening of the temporary ice rink and ice skating and ice hockey in the fall. We will have a lot to talk about, so come join in on the fun. Save the date for our next contest, where we will be judging casseroles, entrees and sides, May 2, at the same location and the same times.
