Weekly Lenten classes focus on parables of Jesus

Special to The PREVIEW

The Rev. Doug Neel, rector of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, and Pastor Don Ford, pastor of Community United Methodist Church, are teaming up once again during the season of Lent for weekly meals, teaching and discussion.

This year, their subject will be the parables of Jesus. The classes will begin at 5:30 p.m. each Monday at Community United Methodist Church on Lewis Street, with homemade soups and bread supplied by church members.

“These evenings are always fun and informative and a great way to share our knowledge and insights,” says Neel. “Don and I have been doing these Lenten classes together for the past three years and have a great time working as a team. It is also fun to get our church communities together for food and study time during the season of Lent. The more people who attend, the livelier the discussions.”

The classes are free and open to the public.
