Special to The SUN

The Pagosa Springs High School chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America invites you to attend a fundraiser for the Scott Kay Memorial Fund, Friday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. in the PSHS auditorium.

This will be the second annual fundraiser and will include viewing of the movie “Into the Mind,” an extreme sports skiing movie from Sherpa Cinema directed by Eric Crosland and Dave Mossop and starring Joshua Pak. This is the sequel to the award-winning ski film “All.I.Can.” The evening’s events will also include door prizes and a raffle with prizes generously donated by local businesses.

Tickets will be available at the door for a cost of $10 for adults, $8 for students and $5 for children 5 and under, with all profits benefitting the Scott Kay Memorial Fund.

The fund is named in honor of the late Scott Kay, who was a beloved member of the Pagosa Springs community and former head of avalanche and ski patrol at Wolf Creek Ski Area. The fund provides scholarships for students who would otherwise not be able to afford to participate in school ski outings, as well as providing scholarships for students to attend avalanche safety courses.
