The San Juan Gobblers chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) will be hosting its 17th annual conservation banquet in Pagosa Springs on Saturday, April 19.
We are in need of your support to help make our event a success. This year, we hope to have around 250 people in attendance at our fundraiser. Businesses typically donate merchandise or gift cards valued up to $1,000 to NWTF local events. This donation would help make this event a huge success and your business will receive special recognition during the event.
Our banquet committee consists of volunteers from the area who donate their time and energy to support the following programs: wildlife conservation; local high school scholarships; JAKES (Junior Acquiring Knowledge Ethics and Sportsmanship), a youth-oriented program; and WITO (Women in the Outdoors), a program oriented towards women.
The National Wild Turkey Federation is a grassroots nonprofit organization (ID #57-056-4993), which was founded in 1973. The NWTF has over 2,000 chapters in 50 states and Canada.
The NWTF has raised in excess of $54 million for research and conservation projects benefiting the American wild turkey and other wildlife. Eighty percent of money raised directly supports wild turkey projects.
