Casino night returns with ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Can’t make it to Las Vegas this winter?

No problem! You’ll have just as much fun and spend lots less money by attending Rotary’s popular “Casino Night” party right here in Pagosa, on Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Ross Aragon Community Center.

This year’s theme is “Dancing With The Stars.” It’s OK to show up “Pagosa Casual” or dressed like you’re ready for the TV cameras and your big dance number.

The gaming is fun, too. There’s blackjack, Texas Hold’em and craps. Some dealers dress like they’ve been shuffling cards for years on a Mississippi riverboat, while others appear to have headed east out of Vegas (toward Pagosa) rather than west to L.A.

And the players? Sure, most of them are locals, but you wouldn’t always know that by their outfits ... just by their smiles.

The fun starts at 6 p.m. and continues until 10. In addition to the gaming tables, the fun includes dancing, a silent auction, specially prepared food and a cash bar.

There will be a limited number of tickets, so try to get yours soon. at The Pagosa Springs SUN, EXIT Realty, Old West Press or from any Pagosa Rotarian. Tickets are $40 per person.

This fundraiser goes a long way towards supporting Rotary’s annual scholarship awards to local high school students, as well as funding several other worthwhile community projects.
