Special to The PREVIEW

On Wednesday, Jan. 22, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium, there will be a financial aid program for all seniors and juniors and their parents.

The program highlights important information about obtaining financial aid using the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for college, trade school, tech school, university, etc. The program’s featured speaker is Marianne Gurule-Hardy, associate director at Fort Lewis College.

There are few students pursuing education after high school who do not qualify for any type of financial aid; this meeting is appropriate for almost every student. For juniors, the meeting will help prepare the family for senior year. For seniors, this meeting will provide a map for the road you are traveling on for this next season of your life, whether it’s two years of training at technical school or several years of education working towards a graduate degree.

This program is open to all public school, online or home-schooled students.
