County to hold work session on marijuana issues

Archuleta County will hold a work session next Tuesday, Jan. 21, concerning the development of an ordinance on retail operations for recreational marijuana.

The county’s Retail Marijuana Steering Committee will host the work session involving the following entities: Pagosa Springs Police Department, Pagosa Fire Protection District, La Plata Electric Association, Pagosa Area Water and Sanitation District, San Juan Basin Health, Pagosa Springs Area Chamber of Commerce, Pagosa Lodgers Association, Archuleta School District 50 Jt., U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Pagosa Springs Community Development Corporation and the Pagosa Springs Youth Center.

At the meeting, representatives of the entities will discuss issues related to the development of an ordinance on retail marijuana operations.

The Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners will not be in attendance at the meeting.

The meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on Jan. 21 in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room of the courthouse, located at 449 San Juan St.

The public is invited to attend.
